Why the FH may genuinely beat the TU

Germany has two kinds of higher-education institution that matter for this decision: Technische Universitäten (TUs) and research universities, and Fachhochschulen (FH) / Universities of Applied Sciences (HAW). A TU brand name means more in Bangladesh; an FH's practically-oriented, industry-linked curriculum and smaller class sizes often produce a stronger job outcome for exactly the kind of applied master's most Bangladeshi students pursue. Neither is a 'lesser' degree for visa or Blue Card purposes — both are recognised, tuition-free (outside Baden-Württemberg) public institutions.

Entry bar for a Bangladeshi bachelor's — the step most students miss

An HSC certificate alone does NOT qualify you for direct bachelor's entry in Germany. This single fact derails more applications than any visa rule.

To enter a German bachelor's programme you normally need either one year of successful study at a recognised Bangladeshi university followed by a Studienkolleg (a one-year foundation course ending in the Feststellungsprüfung exam), or you apply directly for a master's after completing a full bachelor's degree in Bangladesh. For master's admission, competitive TUs generally expect a 4-year bachelor's with a CGPA around 3.0/4.0 or higher, IELTS 6.5 for English-taught programmes, and often a GRE score for the strongest TU master's programmes. German-taught programmes instead require TestDaF 4×4, DSH-2, or Goethe-Institut C1.

Applications go through uni-assist

Most German universities process international applications via uni-assist, a centralised service — not directly, unlike many UK or Irish applications.

Be very cautious with private universities

Private institutions such as IU International University, GISMA and SRH charge €10,000–20,000 per year for programmes that a public university would deliver for a few hundred euros in semester fees. Some private "MBA" and business programmes in particular have weak German job-market outcomes relative to their cost. Unless a specific private programme has a genuinely strong, verifiable employer pipeline, a free public university place — TU, research university or FH — is almost always the better use of a Bangladeshi family's money.
