How to read this list
Ireland has two tiers of institution: traditional universities (Trinity, UCD, UCC, Galway, Limerick, DCU, Maynooth) and the newer technological universities or TUs (TU Dublin, Munster TU, Atlantic TU), formed from 2019 onward by merging institutes of technology. TUs are legitimate, government-recognised universities with strong applied and engineering programs — they are not a lesser category, but their brand recognition in Bangladesh is lower, which matters mainly for how easily people back home understand your degree, not for its visa or employment validity.
Trinity College Dublin
Ireland's oldest and most internationally recognised university.

Technological universities: TU Dublin, Munster TU, Atlantic TU
Applied, industry-linked institutions with generally lower fees than the traditional universities — a strong value option, especially for engineering, business and computing.

Entry bars at the TUs are generally somewhat more flexible than at Trinity or UCD, and IELTS requirements are often 6.0 overall — verify per programme. Do not mistake "TU" for a lesser degree: these are full, government-recognised universities whose graduates are treated identically for Critical Skills and Stamp 1G purposes.
