All eight New Zealand universities are government-funded, NZQA-recognised and accepted by Immigration New Zealand. There is no 'fake' university on this list. What differs is entry difficulty, tuition, city job market and how employable each programme actually makes you. Two polytechnics are included because for trades, IT and nursing they often beat a university degree on cost and hiring speed.
