Prioritise roles in IT, SSC/GBS or BPO if your target city is Warsaw, Kraków or Wrocław — these convert far more easily into a post-study job offer than generic retail or hospitality work.

This 9-month window is materially shorter than similar job-search permits in Germany (18 months) or the UK's Graduate Route (18–24 months), so use it with urgency: prioritise converting an existing part-time employer relationship into a full-time offer, since Polish employers who already know your work are far more likely to sponsor the next step than a cold application. If your Polish is still weak, this window is also your last real opportunity to close that gap before it starts limiting your options outside IT/SSC roles.

For most Bangladeshi graduates in IT, engineering or a well-paid SSC/GBS specialist role, the Blue Card salary bar (≈PLN 12,000–14,000/month, verify) is realistic — many mid-level IT and engineering salaries in Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław already clear it. Confirm your occupation and offered salary against the current Blue Card threshold with the Voivodeship Office before assuming eligibility.

This means the realistic total timeline from arrival to citizenship for a Bangladeshi student — accounting for the half-credit rule on study years — commonly runs 8–10 years rather than the "study 2 years, work 3 years, citizen" pitch some agents use. Plan financially and professionally for that longer runway, and verify Bangladesh's own rules on retaining citizenship in parallel with Polish naturalisation, since dual citizenship treatment can change.

A well-documented appeal — one that directly addresses the specific refusal reason with new or clarified evidence — succeeds often enough that it should always be tried before assuming the application is dead. Common refusal reasons include unexplained bank deposits, weak course-to-background fit, undocumented study gaps, and files that read as using the study visa primarily for Schengen access. Fix the specific documented reason, don't just resubmit the same file with a later date.
